15th April: Anime Day
Anime Day is a yearly celebration held every April 15 each year. During this day, people celebrate by honoring, appreciating, and dedicating their time to anime. Most people watch their favorite anime online. Others participate in cosplays in order to portray their favorite anime characters. Some also go to comic shops to buy anime merchandise. There are just a lot of things that can be done to celebrate this day.
Anime conventions have a long history that spreads worldwide. One of the first original conventions for anime was Comiket, which started in 1975 with around 700 people in Tokyo. Anime has been around a lot longer than that, with one of the first considered “animes” to have existed since the early 1900s.
The world of Anime has taken over the world. A lot of anime from Japan has taken the world by storm. Anime is a hand-drawn and computer animation originating from or associated with Japan.
Popular anime includes One Piece, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, One Punch Man, and Boku No Hero Academia. Because of the much love for anime, people all over the world celebrate Anime Day every year.
