29th July: International Tiger Day
International Tiger Day is observed on 29 July every year to raise awareness about the conservation of tigers and to promote the protection of the natural habitat of tigers since 2010, when it was first created at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit.
This was done to raise awareness of the dwindling wild tiger population, which is putting them on the verge of extinction and to encourage people to celebrate the important work of tiger conservation. Global Tiger Day is another name for International Tiger Day. This event is supported by many well-known animal organisations, including the WWF, the IFAW, and the Smithsonian Institute.
