7th May: World Asthma Day

World Asthma Day is organized by Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) towards increasing awareness about asthma and its management across the world. It is observed every year on first Tuesday of May.

The main objectives of World Asthma Day:

• Raise awareness of asthma symptoms and how to control it.
• Educate health practitioners about the importance of correct diagnosis and disease control.
• Enhance asthma patients and their awareness of the importance of avoiding and controlling asthma triggers.
