9th October: World Post Day – Celebration 2021

Every year on October 9th is celebrated as World Post Day. World Post Day is established in remembrance of the UPU (Universal Postal Union) in Bern, Switzerland in 1874. On India National Post Day is celebrated on October 10th this day is celebrated to pay tribute to the Indian postal department.

On World Post Day countries organise celebrations, programs, and activities to produce awareness of the vital role of the post which plays at a national level. This day is celebrated by 150 nations each year and various ways. In this Post Pandemic situation, postal services play a vital role in services like the testing kit, medicines, money, etc.
