India celebrates Independence Day on August 15 every year. It is a national holiday in India commemorating the nation’s independence from the united kingdom on 15 August 1947. India’s Independence Day is celebrated nationwide on August 15. It marks the end of the British rule in 1947 and the establishment of a free and independent nation. Our independence day also marks the anniversary of the partition of the sub- continent into two countries, India and Pakistan.

The Independence Day is considered as a public holiday with outings, picnics and events like parades, fireworks, air shows, and musical concerts.
